"This is partly in response to the 1 star review. I don't know what kind of system he is using, but on my 37 inch 1080p LCD display this blu-ray disk looks WAY better than DVD. That said, could it be a better? Sure it could. Buti** ridiculous to slam this movie for that. The detail is actually amazing in most of the picture. I can see pores of skin, blood vessels in eyes, small grit, and other sharp details throughout. If you want a movie that makes the DVD version look ugly this will fit the bill. If you can't tell the difference you need glasses or a new HDTV."

"This has to be one of the best movies ever made. Christian Bale put on one of the greastest performances by actor that i have ever seen. He really deserved an oscar for the role. As far as the picture quality of the movie for blu-ray, I would have to say it is outstanding. One part in particular stands out, when Patrick Bateman Peels his facial mask off his face I think the picture jumps thru the screen. Its as though your looking right at him. Go Buy this movie and you won't be disapointed."

Requiem for a Dream

"warning amazon costumer!! do not buy this dvd. it is an edited, r-rated version of the original film, which is one of the gratest movies of 2000. the original cut features frequent drug use and a really creepy sex scene that freaked the mpaa out! if you are easily offended, you shouldn't be buying this movie anyway. if you liked the movie, or you didn't watch it but are in search of something totally new and original, buy the unrated version. this one is not good."

Lonely Hearts

"The focus of this movie is on the detectives, rather than the Lonely Hearts killers, and therefore Gandolfini and Travolta got what little of the critical notice there was. And they are indeed wonderful, and deserving of praise. But Salma Hayek and Jared Leto also turn in fabulous performances as the dysfunctional couple who prey off of, and ultimately kill, the women who fall for their scam. This movie isn't necessarily easy to watch, buti** mesmerizing. Well worth your time."

"This is one of the most brilliant movies i have ever seen. I am a filmmaker and darren is, imho one of the monster directors of our time. That said, this version being palmed off to unsuspecting film fans is a travesty. To be clear, loved this movie in the theater. I hate, hate, hate this abomination. Look for the nc-17 version if you want to see what the filmmaker wanted you to experience in this movie. This is an adult movie with very adult themes, why, why, why, gut it in the edit suite?? so you could eek out a few more sales to the kiddies??"
